Evolution of window blinds

The first window blinds used by people were made out of metal, aluminum in particular. Blinds were used by antique Egyptians to cover their windows, meaning that only important people were in possession of such materials, because they had what to hide. But metal blinds are use even now, they are durable, easy to manage and with no problem of cleaning. This kind of blinds is not recommended to be installed in a place with a high moisture level.

Wood blinds are an alternative picked by majority for the sensation of beauty and style that they offer. But, just like metal, wood is a vulnerable substance in a medium with a high humidity that can break, crack and rot the window blinds. It’s recommended not to use them in bathrooms or kitchens; they go pretty well in living-rooms or bedrooms.

Vinyl blinds are used by almost everyone, they are stylish and at the same time, very practical. They don’t break like the wooden blinds do, can be installed in every place you want them, they are not sensible to moisture, nor to dust, easy to clean, easy to manage and can fit into all types of sizes. There are also fabric blinds, which have the purpose of making a décor warmer. They also are used as isolator against cold air from outside.

In this set of different window blinds, there are included the electric blinds, which in a busy era like ours, are very welcomed by most of people. Electric and remote control blinds make you avoid unnecessary tasks. Some of them that have light sensors can even calculate the exact degree of slats position for your desired temperature in the room. These blinds don’t consume to much power, nor they are dangerous because of possible electric shocks, the small voltage doesn’t allow the risk.
