Most people today live on their own, and to be honest, this is not an easy task to start with. At first, you will be doing a lot of things for the first time and you will also make a lot of mistake in the process. One thing for example that you have to do on your own is cleaning your house, including every corner of it. However, among all the parts, one thing that really gave me a hard time at first was cleaning my windows. Those annoying hard water stains on them just can’t seem to go away, no matter how hard I try. Therefore, I tried to search for a decent way to do this and I have stumbled upon a great homemade window cleaner recipe that I have used ever since.
The materials are really quite simple and you might have already all of them in your own home. These are:
- 1-2 bars of soap
- 2 cups of washing soda
- 4 lemons
- 1/2 cup of vinegar
The first step is to get a pan of water and then heat it up. This should take around 10 minutes before it starts boiling so while waiting, cut your soap into small little pieces. Throw it in your pan once it starts to boil. Stir the mixture constantly until everything is melted properly.
After which, you should then add all your remaining materials and ensure that everything comes up nicely, avoiding all kinds of lumps as much as possible by stirring consistently.
So there you have it, you have just created your own window cleaner. Just add the contents into a spray bottle for easier application and you are ready to use it on your window.
This is a simple window cleaning method you can apply to any glassy surface which guarantees the removal of hard water stains and prevents annoying streaks from appearing on them.
